NUST Student Affairs hosted Olympiad 26 (NOL), a highly anticipated mega national event, from 5-8 Feb. The event featured a wide range of events and competitions, including sports, science & technology, arts & media, literature, technical amusement, adventure, sustainability, and community service. NUST’s finest clubs & societies collaborated with NOL ’26, organizing around 20 competitions alongside 29 sports events. The opening ceremony of NOL 26 was honoured by the presence of Ms. Maria Memon, a renowned journalist and news anchor and Mr. Faizan Sameer the first and only Pakistani certified football coach from UEFA Academy in Switzerland. The ceremony was officially inaugurated by the chief guest of the ceremony Dr. Osman Hasan, Pro-Rector (Acad) accompanied by the Director Student Affairs, Mr Asad Mehmood. Drawing over 3000 participants from NUST and other schools, colleges, and universities nationwide, NOL was a vibrant celebration of creativity, harmony, and camaraderie. Throughout the four days, participants engaged in various sports and competitions, fostering unity and friendship among them. In addition to competitive events, the Olympiad included vibrant social nights, , breathtaking fireworks, drama performance and cultural fest featuring global village to uphold the values of inclusion and diversity. The NOL 26 undoubtedly offered opportunities for engaging discussions, networking, and entertainment for students from various backgrounds. The last day featured the final matches and closing ceremony, including heartfelt speeches and prize distribution. Reflecting on these four days, NOL 26 was undeniably a roaring success, leaving unforgettable memories and experiences for all involved, truly making history.
