NUST Olympiad 2024 (7th to 10th March)

NUST student Affairs hosted Olympiad 24 (NOL), a highly anticipated mega national event, from March 7th to March 10th after a five-year hiatus. The event featured a wide range of activities including sports, science & technology, arts & media, literature, technical amusement, adventure, sustainability, and community service. NUST’s finest clubs & societies collaborated with NOL ’24, organizing more than 20 competitions and games, alongside 30 different sports events, under the guidance of NUST Student Affairs. The opening ceremony of NOL ’24 was honored by the presence of Mr. Saqlian Mushtaq, a former international cricketer and head coach of the Pakistani national cricket team, along with the esteemed Rector NUST, Engr Javed Mehmood Bukhari (HI), who officially inaugurated the event. Accompanying them were the respected Pro-Rector P&R Mr Muhammad Arif Malik Pro-Rector Acad, Dr Osman Hasan, Pro-Rector RIC Dr Rizwan Riaz and Director Student Affairs, Mr Asad Mehmood.
Drawing around 1900 participants from schools, colleges, and universities nationwide, NOL was a vibrant celebration of creativity, harmony, and camaraderie. Throughout the four days, participants engaged in various sports and competitions, fostering unity and friendship among them. In addition to competitive events, the Olympiad included social nights, drama plays, breathtaking fireworks, and a cultural fest involving competitions to uphold the values of inclusion and diversity. The NOL’24 undoubtedly offered opportunities for engaging discussions, networking, and entertainment for students from various backgrounds. The last day featured the final matches and closing ceremony, including heartfelt speeches, and prize distribution, involving esteemed guests from different fields. Reflecting on these four days, NOL’24 was undeniably a roaring success, leaving unforgettable memories and experiences for all involved, truly making history.
