NXC Trip to Miranjani -17th October 2026

NUST Excursion Club conducted one day trip to Miranjani, Nathia Gali, on Saturday, 17th October 2026. The group of 103x students and 3x faculty members, travelled in 4x coasters along the route Islamabad, Murree Expressway, Murree, Jhika Gali, Donga Gali, Ayubia and the Miranjani Trailhead, from where the trek to Miranjani Top began. The event timeline in chronological order is as follows:
07:00 AM: Departure of the coasters from NUST.
11:00 AM: Arrival at Miranjani and briefing session for all participants.
11:30 AM: Trekking, group interaction, jamming and engagement activities at Miranjani.
03:30 PM: Arrival at Khyber Hotel for check in and lunch.
06:00 PM: Departure for NUST.
09:10 PM: Arrival back at NUST.
To keep a group of this size organized, a wristband system was used so that OC members and participants could be identified at a glance. Every OC member was also allotted a group of participants and was responsible for guiding and looking after them throughout the trip, from departure until the return to campus. At Gate 2, the group lit phuljhariyan (sparklers), which added a festive touch to the day. The trip to Miranjani was completed as planned, with the group returning to NUST at 9:10 PM.
