Youth and Parliamentarians’ Summit on Peace building (14th March, 2022)

Young Parliamentarians Forum organised 2 day National Youth and Parliamentarians Summit on Peace Building at Pakistan Institute of Parliamentary Studies (PIPS) Islamabad. A group of our students of Clubs and Societies along with Mr. Ali Hasnain Sayed, Director SAC attended summit on 14th March 2022. The event started off with an address from the President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi, who stressed on peace building initiatives such as sports and other soft means to counter increasing extremism in the society.
After his address, a panel consisting of the Secretaries Mrs. Kanwal Shauzab and Mr. Zain Qureshi addressed the summit on peace building and gave a policy brief. The panel also took questions from students. Afterwards it was adjourned till after the lunch break.
The spirit of the event was participation of NUST students and interaction with Parliamentarians to gain acumen in matters relating to Public Policy at large.
